Welcome to Jane Dimond's website.

Jane is an experienced and versatile journalist and astrologer who has worked in the British media for over 30 years, covering an extensive range of areas including in-depth celebrity interviews, news & current affairs, sports, politics, music, TV reviews and wide-ranging topical issues. She is currently writing children's books, and her frst title, Clear off, Crow!, was awarded the accolade of reader's favourite in the Write Mentor Children's Book Awards.

Jane originated and wrote the long-running 'pop psychology' celebrity interview series 'In The Chair' for TV Times magazine, in which she explored the true personality behind the public faces of numerous famous people, from Ronnie Barker to Ricky Martin, Michael Parkinson to Peter Kay, Jo Brand to June Brown. She also devised the interview series 'Woman to Woman' for Woman magazine, and has written features for numerous other magazines and national newspapers. Throughout, she has been respected for her professional integrity, securing sought-after interviews with tabloid-wary actors and TV personalities. Her TV career includes producing the ITV topical debate show Thursday Night Live, presented by Andrew Neil, and working as a film director and associate producer on ITV's daytime magazine show Capital Woman. She has also appeared as a guest commentator on several TV programmes, and her PR experience includes media-training finalists on The X Factor.

Jane is a qualified astrologer, and has written astrology features and Sun sign columns for various magazines, including Company, Spirit and Destiny, More! and Chat: It's Fate.

Jane's passions include wildlife (she's a member of League Against Cruel Sports, The British Wildlife Centre and Greenpeace) and football - she's a founder member and season ticket holder at AFC Wimbledon, the club set up by fans after Wimbledon FC was franchised. She is also the proud mum of two boys.

Qualifications:

Journalism: Jane trained at the prestigious London College of Printing (now the London College of Communication, University of Arts London). She was awarded the highest grade in its Certificate in Periodical Journalism, a one-year, full-time course accredited by the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) and PPA (Periodical Publishers Association).

BA (1st Class Hons) in Creative Writing, including English degree modules (studied part-time as a mature student).

Astrology:  Jane studied at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, gaining a distinction in its Birth Chart Intepretation Exam, en route to being awarded the faculty's certificate in 2005.
